I know it's easy to react after a loss .. especially coming off a good win over the Premiers where no one wanted to bag BA.
But i'm not sure if 25 weeks of Junior , Reg , N Brown and Papali'i bashing it up the middle relentlessly is receptor for success . It's why coming off a big physical win we often struggle and wasn't a great game plan v the Roosters who have thrived playing that way for 5 years. After 9 years in charge and one of the most stable dynamic spines in the comp you would think there would be more than physical collisions in the middle of the field but nope . He really is very one dimensional . If we are going to win a comp playing this way we have to do it 3/4 times in a row in September which will be almost impossible . We need to be adding more to our game.

I can't wait for his press conference. We got outplayed and out enthused 😂
Wake up Boogy, what do you think the Roosters did to us tonight.?
That's right. They out muscled us... one might say they won the collision. Something that led them to three premierships.
Did the coach make Gutherson kick off the onslaught by fumbling a basic grubber ? Did he tell Gutherson to come up into the line half arsed when he didn't need to allowing that chip and chase try ? Did he force him to throw a under 7s pass from dummy half giving away possession when we had them on their goal line?
Did he cut Dylan Browns hand off so he couldn't get his hands on the ball most of the game whenever close to their line ? Or did he cut his ears off so he couldn't hear Gutherson screaming unmarked on the inside ?
Once they step on that paddock , they're the captains team . And when he kicks off the game playing like a pub league over 40s player then tonight is what you get.
Last week we saw what you get when your captain is on par. This week we see what you get when he was subpar for 40 minutes. Second half he got his shit together and we out scored them.
I very much doubt that. He's still one of the more reliable fullbacks in defence and under high ball
Thats was a horrible bounce, though Rooster had a lot of luck today.
He made it look worse than it was.
If you're going to win a comp, your most senior player can't be making errors like these as often as he does. That's a fact. He may be pretty reliable in defence ( he has had a few defensive shockers this season mind you ) and under the highball, but that doesn't negate the point that he does make these rookie errors that for some reason always result in big points against us following.
I agree Wiz, time to move JA to fullback.
Its not just individual mistakes .. tactically i'd be worried with what we're producing. Our strength is our pack and our go forward through the middle and that's absolutely fine. BUT.. we spent 40 mins playing through the middle 3rd of the field with 3 sometimes 4 settlers in good attacking position , setting up for 2 shots a set . That can't be the plan every week .
BA will go to the press conference and say we didn't win the collisions and got beat in effort areas and blah blah . The Roosters are coming off a few soft weeks while we laid it all out vs Panthers . IMO we needed to come with something else . After 9 seasons in charge you can't just have one style of play.
While we're here , playing a utility on the wing when you now have wingers available is stupid. it's a desperation measure you don't persist with until it inevitably lets you down .
Then why does BA love Gutho so much?
Obviously such a shit judge of character and players..
