Bureta Faraimo

I've really enjoyed what I've seen from him these past couple of games in first grade. I think he would make an excellent second winger to partner Semi. My reasons are;- very strong kick returns- urgency in defence- obvious strong desire to be there (FG)- excellent leg drive after first contact- shorter, stockier stature adds a point of difference to his game and makes him harder to tackleI think he offers more than Reece as a winger despite Reece's speed advantage. For me, he has to be top 25 and definitely starting 17.

  • Lavaka is better.
  • What do you base that on kurupt?? ... Imo Rets is twice the winger as Lavaka..
    • Lavaka is a natural footballer who's big and fast, he is also confident in his abilities. Being a natural gives him the advantage.
Rets is a backup at best and can take morgans spot for all I care, so not saying he's shit, but not better.

  • I read somebody say that he has been a victim of the second tier salary.

I'm not sure how that works but we might see him get more game time.

He definatly played very well against the titans. He definately improves our return on the first and second tackle.

I think we'll be looking at hopoate and faraimo on one wing with Takarangi and Radradra on the other next year.

  • I think you've nailed it with the desire to be there.

Many of our players look unenthusiastic. We don't have a strong leader in our team. I think Norman plays that role but, Mannah often looks like he's going to cry and I find Peats goes missing from time to time.

  • I back faraimo, definitely a victim of the cap. Should feature more next year in my opinion.
  • Since the last loss and everything else that's going on I've been restraining myself and he happened to cop it a little, fair enough, please edit out those last two lines.
  • He doesn't have the speed but a top backup
Lavaka and Robinson are more elusive
  • I agree with you here, I've enjoyed watching Faraimo play this year

  • I thought the last game was Bureta's best, and mostly on the basis that he brought the ball back with much more power than I've seen him do before. We all know he can find the tryline and his record in NSW Cup is testament to that. He still hasn't had to really cope with being targeted because he's generally come in as a late replacement and opposition coaches wouldn't have really figured him out yet. However, I'll definitely say his progress is pleasing.
