      • It's hard to know whether or not Blaize and Sanders would make it in our system or not, considering they are no longer in our system.

I do take your point on whether we have appropriate structures to get the best of our juniors coming through. That is apparently Nathan Brown's department and whilst I don't rate him highly as an NRL coach, I do believe he is good in a mentoring role and that might be all we need from him.

I also completely agree with your commentary on how some folks - particularly in this thread - are death riding Jason Ryles. I'll be honest, I wasnt' enthused or dismayed at his appointment but was prepared to give him a chance. So far, my assessment is we are ahead of where most good judges thought we'd be and for that I'm now enthused.

The loss on the weekend was ordinary but is in no way a yardstick to judge Ryles' tenure to this point. Even the thought of doing so is ridiculous and some of the folks on here - particularly in this thread - who normally show greater sense, really ought to take some Viagra eyedrops and take a long, hard look at themselves.

  • Whoever said bulldog is a manly fan, this article could be to take some heat off manly with everything that is going wrong at the club at the moment ? I don't think anyone is really praising the eels in the media and calling them some giant success yet but they are showing small signs of growth at the beginning of a rebuild.ย

  • That rabbit loss has really rocked us.

Please don't lay down against the chooks like we did against Canberra in Darwinย

  • Bullfrog or Bulldog is a two bit Jorno whos bosses have asked the ol whisky cheeks to take over from Hooper as he drys out on jobseeker...

  • If you look at our history 2001 gf - struggle until 05

    2005 pf- 06 struggle.

    2007 pf- 08 struggleย

2009 gf- don't make finals again until 2017.

    2017 semis - 2018 spoon

    2019-22 semis - gf

    2023-2025 no finals.

This club can never build always going backwards. If we get some decent players we struggle to retain them. Lose our juniors to other clubs yet the front office keep their jobs. This club under brian smith was envied by other clubs in the 90s we set the standard in professionalism and never struggled to attract talent. Somewhere along the line of smith's departure we've lost our identity and I'm afraid it may take years to get it back.
