  This is just cheap 'journalism' designed for one purpose only. To lure stupid Parramatta fans in for comment. If Dean Ritchie honestly believed that Parramatta were going to win more games than they lost in 2025 with the player turnover they've had, then he doesn't know the game at all and is the biggest croc in the business. Now if hje's writing this at the end of 2027 or even 2026, then it might have some sort of credibility.

    When a club is continuously in a rebuild, Bulldog has a valid point. Yes there's been turn over but when you get beaten by a reserve grade Souths team, it's a red flag IMO. You don't need a team of superstars to compete on effort, attitude, defence and fitness. This is where a great coaching team makes all the difference. If Ryles is to succeed, Management needs to pay big $ to get him the best coaching staff there is. I'm sorry, Nathan Brown isnt one of them. He's dumb as bat shit.

      Eels and south's both made GFs 2/3 years ago and are both anchored to the bottom of the table past few seasons. Difference is south's have kept all their old players and are still trying to win. Ryles has hit reset and should see the benefit of this in the years to come

      So beat Brisbane, nearly beat Melbourne but lose to Souths, granted with a rubbish team, but that has undone the prior two weeks? It is not acceptable but seriously if we were top 8 or top 4 and lost that then that is a concern. 

      Penrith nearly lost to Gold Coast, they had numerous points put on them with Edwards, Cleary, Yeo, Martin etc. Isn't that a red flag in that case?

        Penrith have also come from dead last on the table to knocking on the door of the top 4.The difference betwen Penrith nd Parra is the first mentioned cross the board is aligned they have a premiership winning off and on the field setup Parra haven't had that in a very long time.

        Penrith have nothing to worry about 4 premierships in a row going for 5 there doing something that has only been done once before.There trying to create there own history.

        We are so far behind the likes of Melbourne and Penrith it's not funny if your being honest now we are level pegging with the Tigers results wise this year pretty much we've been surpassed by the Dogs nd aren't in the same league as Riff.I suspect while we have some positive going for us we are years away from being anywhere close to the mentioned.

          Ok but if anything them losing to Titans where they are both are is more embarrassing then us v Souths considering where we are on the ladder. 

          I was not comparing us to Penrith, i was saying teams no matter how good can have an embarrassing loss. When i questioned that being a red flag it was me being facitious.

            Of course this can happen but the good clubs it's very rare unlike us under any regime we seem to have a penchant for it.

                Yeh! I understand the point LB is making, he is saying Penrith's performance against the Gold Coast is a reasonable comparison with our performance against Souths.

                I don't think it actually compares comparison between Penrith and us, chalk and cheese. BUT we know where we are and we are trying bloody hard to fix it. it takes time and presumably some patience.

                How we react as supporters doesn't enhance anything other than saying what a dumb bunch of supporters. Cap fits wear it!

                I get disappointed with say Zip Zips comment because unless he has evidence or special inside knowledge you cannot blame Nathan Brown for our ills, his record as an assistant is not under scrutiny any more than Trent Barrett going to the Bronco's. These guys have real world experience.....the buck stops with the coach and we can disagree with selections and similar ilk but we don't know the lead ups or the logic to make the absolute statements like Nathan Brown is as dumb as batshit! ......he maybe for all I know but I do not believe I enhance anything in a practical way by calling him out without evidence.

                Zip Zip makes good comments usually, maybe he knows thing's that we dont !

      But we haven't had the resources he refers to over that time. We've only recently had the stadium (2018) and CoE (mid-2025). Having a you-beaut stadium isn't a big drawcard for players, it's for the fans and corporates. 

      His claim about money is also garbage. What good is having all the money in the world when you have a salary cap limiting what you can spend? He forgets to mention we don't have access to club arranged TPA's like Easts, Brisbane, Melbourne, and I dare say Canterbury all do. And don't tell me that those clubs aren't arranging the TPA's. The NRL tuirns a blind eye to them as they want those clubs to succeed. 

      We weren't rebuilding in 2020-2022. So we haven't been 'continuously rebuilding' as you claim.  

      And comparing us to Marshall and the Tigers? Marshall in year three of his tenure and only starting to see slightly more success than Parramatta this year after signing a whole bunch of Penrith premiership players? That was the biggest laugh of the whole piece.
