Buerta Faraimo

As I do after every win, I watch it again on replay more times than I will admit.

Buerta again this week was very solid and doesn't get too many wraps, he rarely gets a mention besides who will replace him the following week. Unlike other wingers with similar builds (Jorge Taufua or our very own Vai Toutai to name a few) who lack genuine pace but good metre eaters on hits ups, Buerta is very confident and capable under the high ball. I'm not saying that he keeps the likes of Semi out of the side. Just think he deserves a wrap and throw in Peni Terepo on yesterdays performance.

wonder who will be dropped for semi. folau or buerta.

  It should be folau, as bureta has already gone through the make a debut go back to reggies phase. He currently Is more complete than folau. But BA might feel sticking John in for longer will pay dividends down the road.

Agree Bert.

Bureta’s a good, solid player imo, and has been ever since he came our way.

Peni’s looking very good as well.

That try he scored off sandows wobbly ol grubber was exceptional, to keep attacking the football when he could have just stood and just like the rest of the players was great. He took at least 3-4 kick returns off robinson to make himself involved

  It was obviously a set plat, but I am loving him more and more. His leg speed is insane. I'd love to see him in a back line sweep that puts him in some space.

Yep he's been solid. Strong runs from kick returns and helps Robbo out heaps. I think folau may be best as a edge forward? He is damaging when he hits the line.

Agree with you Bert Bureta never dodged taken a hit up and also committed in defence all night he's a tough little bugger and Peni is a lot more aggressive than last year and is actually hanging onto the ball

5 talking points in yesterday's win

1: G Gower is a very good player, for someone who broke he's finger and to come back and still do a great job deserves a good wrap.

2: R Robinson even though he dropped the ball once, he looked a lot better at fullback then will Hoppa, he provided some good spark and darting runs up the middle.

3: W Hoppa was better in the centres then fullback, he's defence yesterday was good

4: our halves aimed up yesterday, there kicking game in the windy conditions was very good, C Norman made some good half line breaks as we'll. and looked dangerous.

5: we do need Pauli and Moeroa back, as our bench is lacking some size, I Degois needs to go back to wenty as peats can play 80, Sef Paulo can play the utility roll.

I think he has played well also.

However if Semi comes back who misses out?

In my opinion, Faraimo wouldnt have scored the tries that Folau did yesterday or against Souths.

So while he's played well I still think Folau deserves to be in (by a narrow margin)

How good is it to see the improvement in Faraimo and Terepo. Also the defensive improvement in Semi before he was injured.
