Yes we all are hating on Matto for taking the suspension instead of the fine, but what about BA taking his pride before team performance by not playing Nathan Brown?
No one could honestly have:
- Makatoa
- Grieg
- Cartwright
- Murchie
Out there before Nathan Brown.
Yes Brown may have had injuries etc that would explain a game or two, but he's barely be in first grade for over a year. A NSW Origin player can't make the cut to our club team? Played the GF last year. The roosters want him. But we never play him. Doesn't make sense to never have him in first grade, we are down in forwards and we let him go?

Nathan Brown is busted bro and was clearly out of form. One only has to look at his Insta to see Nathan liked the heavy Lebo food in parra a little too much. Hopefully the new vegan salads and soy lattes in Bondi will bring him back to form.
Ha ha ha. Ok. Maybe it's just me but I'd play a fat brown before a vegan Murchie.
I don't understand the point of this blog. The guy has been 'officially' injured all year and is now NOT a Parra player. How could the coach select him?
Whilst the rumours are flying around about what transpired between Brown and Arthur ...you have no actual proof that the coach did in fact put his pride before team performance. He was after all selected in the GF team when no-one here expected him to be re-instated due to said rumours.
True. No proof. But him leaving is point. We are still missing Lane. Our bench provides very little. Surely there is a role for Brown.
Did you see the Fox article where Arthur called Brown in to discuss what his role was this year and Brown (allegedly) said "No point, I won't be here"
Looks to me that whilst Arthur was looking at all our options, Nathan just couldn't work with him and was determined to leave - for whatever reason.
"ARTHUR AND BROWN’S BRUTAL CHAT
You’ve got to admire the direct approach of Parramatta coach Brad Arthur and the now departed Eels backrower Nathan Brown.
When Arthur called Brown in for a meeting about how the pair were going to approach this season last month, the pair kept it very short and to the point.
The Eels coach told Brown he wanted to discuss his future at the club for the remainder of the year.
Brown said words to the effect of “Don’t worry about it, I’m not going to be here”.
The ex-NSW Origin forward has since signed with the Sydney Roosters for the remainder of the season for $180,000.
Because it’s already March, the Eels had covered five months of Brown’s contract.
Arthur and Brown fell out last season after the tough middle forward was axed to the NSW Cup in round 15.
Brown only played two further NRL games for the Eels including the club’s grand final loss to Penrith."
I did. I had a different take. After a year or so of not being played and been told he was free to look elsewhere, he decided to look elsewhere.
I have proof, straight from the horses mouth. He said JA shouldn't be in first grade and got dropped for it.
Yeah? I've met Brown a couple of times and he seemed a real straight shooter. Never quite worked up the courage to ask him what was going on though. So he actually said that himself? Wow
Apparently he was dobbed in by another player, I was told the player he suspects and let's say I'm not surprised.
Omg! Even worse to hear that HKF and no doubt had to have caused a bit of trouble within group ...it's what I (suspected) happened between fergo /Waqa as well
both cases the players would've been right in their thoughts
wish brown all the best ...he always did his best for us
