What happens to NRL players when they stuff up off field.

Corey Norman - 8 week suspension

Mitchell Pearce - 8 week suspension

James Roberts - The result says it all.

If Tod Greenturd wants to find the match fixer all he needs is a mirror.

  • lol what a joke, one rule for these grubs and different rules for clubs like Parra.

  • It appears that he was always going to escape suspension because Wayne Bennett and the Broncos management arrogantly refused to punish him.
If we had a proper management structure in place at the time of Corey's brain explosion, maybe we wouldn't be where we are today.
If ever we are in this situation again we should, rightly or wrongly, follow the Broncos lead and tell the NRL to feck off.
  • Are u Implying being drunk and put in a headlock by a bouncer deserves the same punishment as being convicted of carrying drugs or pretending to have sex with an animal??
    • Well the Broncos player sniffing coke has been swept under the carpet and Id say being sacked from two previous clubs for ill discipline then following it up with 2 drunken nights out recently is.

We're not talking the law here, were talking about the NRL rules about how players should behave. Is pissing in your mouth illegal? How did that work out for Todd?

    • Mmmmm spitting at a bar manager and ending up in the watchouse.  He gets a 10 day ban only to end up in another incident and at the cop shop again.  This is on top of a photo that was bought by New limited(who own the bronco's) and sat on it of a certain Bronco snorting lines of coke of a toilet seat.  He's also been sacked already from two other clubs.  Yeah no big deal just a naughty boy lets give him a slap on the wrist and send him to bed without his dinner......

  • As said numerous times previously, Dogs , Roosters and Broncos are the power base that got Greenturd the position

Just follow the dots, and coupled with Uncle Wayne being untouchable and basically daring th NRL to punish Roberts by stating "we will deal with it at the Broncos and won't be dictated to " answer equals exactly what we are seeing.

Of course it's a coincedence re Reynolds tripping being leniently treated and the lack of action by Toddy boy and the leaks from The NRL as our Punishment was being finalised , he is a myth
    •  Derek : Yes, right on the button. The NRL is not an even playing field. I said when Greenburg was to be appointed CEO of the NRL that that would be the beginning of the end of Rugby League in Australia. This is an example of that process operating. Some clubs untouchable the rest do as you are told and cop the punishment. I am afraid that our new management is showing signs of brown nosing the NRL and Greenburg. They did nothing to fight the charges against O` brine and French. And did nothing about Robson having his face stood on against Canberra.  There is a need for a new competition with less clubs than we have now--we need a big daddy to finance it. Has Packer and Rusty got the balls to do it?--the money is there.

  • Fark there are some on this site that exaggerate things. Comparing Roberts to Norman is ridiculous.
    • Well at least Norman and Pearce do it in private and its only because someone tapes it that anyone knows.

Roberts drunken sprees are there for all to see, so surely he is bringing the game into disrepute just as much if not more than the others. Also sacked previously from 2 clubs because of similar issues.

      Is that exaggerated?

    • but mate he is a serial offender - and it wasn't just the one incident in the week, there were two incidents.

NRL need to get serious and be consistent with their rulings/punishments.

Whilst I wont compare it to Normans issues, it does compare with Pearces and Joel Monaghans behaviour and look what happened to them.
