I hope Al Hunt & the rest of you Brisbane based supporters are Ok.

I'm sure Chief & Vincent will receive plenty of support in Sydney.

You can preview their work daily in the cupboard. #rainbowfamilies #dragqueenstorytime.

Members of the University of Queensland's Liberal National Club have come under fire after storming a Brisbane library to protest an event where drag queens read books to young children.

Several parents and their children were at Drag Queen Storytime at Brisbane Square Library yesterday afternoon when the students attempted to disrupt the event.

Video shows the protesters, including the club's president Wilson Gavin, chanting "drag queens are not for kids" as the two performers, Diamond and Queenie (Al Hunt), ask them to leave

Children were left in tears and the protesters eventually backed off.

The book-reading event was organised by Rainbow Families Queensland and had the full support of Brisbane City Council, aimed at raising awareness about equality in the community.

The UQ Liberal National Club, which describes itself as "Queensland's largest right wing student organisation", took to Facebook yesterday to defend the protest.

"We believe that the use of rate-payer money on hiring Drag Queens ... is deeply inappropriate and does not align with the LNP values the Council should be promoting," it wrote.

  • Not endorsing the Drag queens for kids thing but this group of young Liberal Nationals and the rest of the narrow minded dickheads like them (usually thier parents)are the reason this country has gone to the dogs and cannot progress with the rest of the civilized world.

  • Don't see a drama here - just a couple of Queens reading stories to the kiddies.

"Young Liberals" is just urban dictionary talk for "Virgin Dork"

  • Haha! anybody who thinks drag queens are important for kids has some serious issues.

Id go as far as to call them devious and reckless.

Remember when they gave the go ahead for women to be teachers?

Just look what happened there, the education system went backwards light years.

    • I think that it should be legislated that a certain percentage of all teachers should be drag queens. Not the girly ones though - I mean the 6 foot 5 ones with stubble and adam's apples, and very deep voices.

  • I think Brett is now famous. In fact Im sure he is the Tranny in the video. LOL 1eyed biggots

  • It's a crazy world we are living in, what next?

Live porn acts for the year 5/6 students so they can get up close and personal education? I mean is there a line in the sand or is it a moving progressive feast?

Or Serial Killers performing show and tells at these schools?

Im sure Ivan would've loved to entertain the younguns with stories of his escapades before he carked it.

  • Just on a serious note though guys, the young guy who was in most of the pictures protesting this disgrace committed suicide yesterday.

    • Oh, turn it up Brett! You should be eternally grateful for the UQ Young Liberals drawing attention to the national scourge of creepy sexual deviants in flamboyant clothing reading fairytales to impressionable children.3817751051?profile=RESIZE_710x
