The more I think about it, the more I want to see this man in blue and gold. His form is getting better with age, as I mentioned in a previous blog - he's now playing as a ball playing fullback and setting up more tries than he scores. Geoff Toovey even said he was "Manly's Jarryd Hayne" when asked what he means to their team at the end of this season.He's played origin and won Grand Finals and is a good friend of Choc Watmough, also coming to the Eels. Negatives ... He's injury prone and under contract for next season.I think he is the best option we have to replace Hayne.

    To the 'under contract' point. Toovs apparently has agreed to release him and the Raiders have offered massive overs.

    Stewart has had Foran and DCE taking the line on and putting Stewart outside his defender. At that point Stewart is great at deciding if run or pass makes the try. I like Stewart, but our halves, especially Norman, don't play that way. At that point Stewart might be as ineffective as Perrett at the dogs when Reynolds was absent.
