IF Parramatta played its `semi-final’ on Sunday, then Brett Kenny’s Wentworthville Magpies will play its equivalent at Ringrose Park on Sunday.

Just wanted to highlight this passage...

Kenny hopes his team won’t need to rely on the heroics of Brendan Oake again.

The occasional Eels forward pounced on a kick in goal to score the matchwinner in Wentworthville’s 32-28 win over Central Coast on Sunday.

``He never gives up,’’ Kenny said of the unlikely hero. ``He probably deserved to score the winner because he had a good game.’’

I'll be pretty disappointed if we've signed a Matuia or Webb over Oake.

  • "I'll be pretty disappointed if we've signed a Matuia or Webb over Oake." totally agree on that plus we don't need to buy anymore 2nd rower, we got plenty of them.
  • As I and others have said countless times before, Oake is one of the guys that will be in our team in the years to come.
The work that he gets through is incredible, and since he last played FG, he has worked even harder on his game to perfect it.

    Very humble guy as well.
