  • Sterlo often speaks common sense....smart man.
    • Probably good thing he has steered away from the politics in our club.
  • Bert is a little outspoken at times, but at least he gives an opinion. On occassion he is at odds with what is considered the general concensus but opinions from any legend of the game from within our club will stimulate discussion about pertinant issues of the day. Bert " will be quoted" by the mainstream media.

Stetlo on the other hand will never be quoted on "sensitive issues" within our club as he rarely makes a comment about those matters!  Sterlo IMO is more concerned with his own image than his/our clubs' genuine success.

This attitude will be good for Laurie Daley and the Blues because Sterlo's astute observations and opinion on sensitive issues will be thoroughly vetted by himself, LD and the inner sanctum of the NSWRL in private before it is ever made public. Then consented controversy is OK as it matters not to Sterlo if it causes "state to state" rivalry or turmoil, it will not harm his image within our club!

    • That's rubbish. Sterlo makes a career commenting on sensitive issues. Had alot to say about our club last year in it's darkest hour. Old teammates weren't spared ie. Sharp and co.
  • Bert was on the money. Most agreed with everything he said.
No need for a hate blog?
I'd probably prefer to hear a raw opinion, not governed by TV networks or to save a job like in Sterlo's case.
  • Lol! Wasn't it apparently "reported" today or yesterday that Semi doesn't want to go to France and wants to stay with the Eels?, and the whole Union saga was only there incase he got suspended from the NRL due to his court case?, ahwell, different "report", different day, think I'm just gonna not click on any more Semi bait and wait till 2017 to see what he actually does. My prediction? he will re-sign for a further 3 years.
  • Both are valid opinions and both have merit. I'm with sterlo though, he's contracted to us,he's a very important player for us, let's have him play out 2017. The only important season is the one about to be played. We seem to be always on the cusp of something then we lose an important cog in the wheel. Let's see what happens in 2017 and then worry about the years after that. We need a successful year now

"TDS is still young, with plenty of improvement left in him. He could still play Flegg in 2026 ffs. And despite being two years younger than Ryley Smith, he has played nine more NRL games."
