  The issue with the Eels is not player number 18 Oake. At full strength he would not make the top side. I agree 100% he is the type of squad player you want and should not be the victim for our losses
  
  We need a solution at 7. Robo has a massive heart but not the skill and KK is unproven at 7. Mortimer lacks a kicking game. Blogs about swapping them around will not solve the fact they lack the skill to be top line 7s
  
  The other issue is Cayless and Hindy have carried us for so long they are looking tired and under pressure
  
  Finally Tahu was pathetic at S14 and looks lost in the NRL. I go back to our semi win v Titans where Jon Wright dominated and hurt his ankle. He must replace Tahu now and be treated on form not on reputation and pay packet

  Well last night oake and horo and mannah were prob the players I wasn't pulling my hair out at. Which I cnt say is something to b happy about but at least they are having a solid dig and I dnt need to cringe at the bench everytime it gets named. Now I only need to cringe at our halves and hookers.....

  i hope you are right but seriously, you cant knock people who have a low opinion of him at the moment - his error rate is ridiculous. We need him to blossom as our 2nd row depth is at a minimum but he deserves his share of criticism at the moment.

  Brendan Oake deserves none of the criticism that is going his way at the moment. Considering he is not even really meant to be in the side and has only come in for injury, he is consistently one of the better players out there.
  
  So I think everyone should give Brendan 'Oakey Dokey' Oake. It sounds like he is getting a better reception than Toddy was this time last year and he is only going to get better!

  Oake did do well. Horro was a bit more aggressive in defence but oake made a line break an almost another. I'd have the shack over both but as replacements, a lot better. If I were da, I'd be starting mannah and cayless on the bench this week. Caylo coz he won't drop captain and mannah coz he bloody well deserves it. Fui should be Forced to shave his hair

  He's a workhorse and definitely better than Lowrie with a bright future ahead of him, but he did not make enough metres against the Sharks. What the stats don't tell you is that during the times he made his runs, the Sharks defence was pretty tired. He can still improve a lot and needs to work on his fitness to become better. His last few runs were no where near as good as his first few. And I mean NO WHERE. His first few runs were brilliant. Love his defence.
