Since the appointment of an Administrator we have not won a game and played rather poorly in the games played. I think it fair to say that the inspiration provided by the appointment has failed to influence our players in the right direction. Now, with Jarryd off to the Gold Coast, it is clear that the Administrator and those involved in the signing of players have crashed at the first hurdle. The best that could be said about their "effort" is that while Rome burnt they fiddled. Here we had a local junior, a once in a life time player of high profile, they let slip through their fingers. Jarryd has explained he kept asking who will be the CEO?A reasonable question I would have thought given what has gone on in the Administration this year. He could get no answer to that question. The reason being that the new Administrator had decided to advertise that position and he would provide a private company to vet and interview all applicants. All that takes time and much expense.Jarryd did not have that time. The Titians offer would have had a cut off point.Jarryd not getting the information he wanted out of the Eels had to make a decision. This raises the question, do you really need to go through that rigmarole for a CEO`s position in a Rugby League club? I think not when it cause the loss of such a player as JH.
I think those who brought about this situation ought to be looking tonight for another job. It`s called accountability.

And I agree with Yobz. The last few weeks we basically had Reserve grade playing.
Long fin Eel: What evidence do have that going through that commercial vetting system produces " strong CEO`s"?--what ever that may be. And why in- house selection procedures do not produce good results? They do just as well if not better than the commercial options. In this case, we lost JH by going commercial. Those involved in doing that will never live it down. Do you know when we are appointing a CEO? Some other players might just do a bunk during this CEO free zone. Reserve grade or not the Magnificent MAX`s inspiration, which included a meeting with the players, did nothing to improve their performance. We still await the brave new world.
Time to move on mate. The Princess took the dough & Parra will now move on.
