Not going to lie I am pretty gutted over the whole Judas Hayne to the Tits situation. I thought he would be a man of his word and return home - obviously money talks and Judas walks.
My question is brand 'Hayne' now worthless?
It's a sad thing to say but I have lost all respect for him. I for one want nothing more to do with Judas Hayne. I don't want to see him on my TV - I don't want his clothes or merch. His endorsements for company's means nothing (just like his word). I don't want him to play for NSW.
And I am not just saying this as a Parra supporter. As Aussies we admire and respect a man of his word so by Judas going back on his, he just lost a heap of credibility. This means tens of thousands of his former supporters now think he is traitor and want nothing to do with him.
What is also sad is he has irrevocably tarnished what could have been a great career in NRL. He would have been a legend of the club and the game. Now he will be remember as a mercenary chasing the highest dollar. He can never attend an Old Boys day at he Eels, nor will he be remember as a legend of the club. He will forever be remembered as the douche who played us all for idiots.
I hope he enjoys the few extra bucks he is earning at the Tits, because it has cost him his credibility, his brand, and the support of many, many Aussies.
