Bradley Arthur post loss blog

I'm not going to get on here and eleborate on every one of his numerous faults as a leader and coach, or the continued inability of our team to produce anything away from home. His baffling belief in guys who keep making the same errors or the fact he cant coach that out of them. Anyone with a brain knows he's not a head first grade coaches asshole and he's here for 2 years so lets just try make the most of it.

That all being said. He has 1 plan. Run hard , try and win the collision and create room to play our structure. We have a tonne of guys that can run straight and hard and do nothing else. People joke but its honestly a park football game plan. Run hard, run straight. Defsensively any team that can get quick play the balls, play with some speed around the middle and offloads get in behind our ruck easily and KILL  us. Its happened ALL last season, and ALL this season. He has no answers. We need some forwards that are willing to make effort on effort defensively rather than just guys that come off the back fence. Manu needs to go now, i'm sick of watching his inability to make the right read in defence, his arm grabbing and his complete lack of ability to make repeat efforts in defence. BA loves him though because he fitsthe run hard and straight game plan. He really needs to add some layers to his coaching and start preparing game plans based on our oppisition. Not just roll out the same plan every week and hope we do it better than the week before. Wins at Bankwest are masking over the cracks which are fully exposed away from there.  BA is a fraud.

  • Agree 100% GWF, the score line flattered us we were lucky to not get 50 put on us.

Newcastle exposed us badly around the ruck and the good teams with good forwards and a speedy dummy half will do the same.  Us being in the 8 shows how poor the comp really is.

  • What do you mean?

  • What annoys me is its the same loss everytime we lose for the last 6 years.

    Beat at the ruck

    Offloads

    Defense jamming in creating overlap

    Nothing changes

I wont call for BAs head its done hes here the club gave in to keep gutho we have to move on and do better

  • Yep thank god he has awoken and so many off contract passengers will be leaving. The extra effort areas is just not there by some. That try that turbo scored in the first half taking it out of Guthos hands, he started near 15 metres behind Taka, when the kick goes up, ran past him and took the ball and scored, Taka was still walking back towards the tryline..He should hang his head in shame for not gettiing back or at least not getting in turbos way..... LAZY LAZY play....Sivo on the other hand ran from the complete opposite side of the park, putting in big time to stop Turbo from running closer to the sticks , his effort was rewarded with the missed conversion. please please Brad do not re sign the pretenders on our roster. Onwards and upwards.

    • 100%

The Garrick catch off the bomb against Sivo was worse. Hoffman barely moved an inch and just let him have a running start. Its just lazy. I just know BA was drooling Takas finally 'repaid the faith ' last week too after consistently letting us down for 3 seasons. He's gotta be the next shown the door.

      • The phrase “ layers to his coaching “ sums it up .i agree , little depth , ability to turn on a dime due to conditions etc

Fair blog and yes we are currently “ doing a Bradbury “

    • Well said Bliue Eel, Taka and Hoffman are two of our more experienced players.  And the 1%ers are just not there from these blokes.   The sooner they are gone the better.

    • Exactly right well said Blue Eel! Take prob thinks he has his signing in the bag after last week, but gosh he is one of the laziest most unreliable players ever!

We miss Jennings more than most realise and sivo misses his classy mentor greatly. Still Sivo on  a pittance puts most to shame!

      • Arthur said Waqua should be right for next week.

        • The big thing with Blake will be his match fitness, as he's been out a fair while now injured, He should provide a much better option than Hoffman against the warriors though.
