Brad Arthur the Master Coach

Week in week out we read about how good he is but today he made the Master Stroke. We all know how much we have struggled without Jarryd at the back but 99% still didn't expect Sandow to play there.

That's what makes a great coach producing the unexpected well done Brad Arthur

  • Hes the best coach we had since brian smith

  • Hi Craig, no one can argue with success. It's also amazing how several players appear to be noticably improving under BA's watch.

    • Michael I don't think a lot has changed from the past when defining the aspects of a good coach. Players improve and or re-invent themselves and the mind set of winning away( though early days) and winning with established stars missing, are all good signs if the boys keep going with it. Nothing can replace winning. Remembering the "dark days" of SK and all the talk of 5 year plans and building structures. The bottom line is you want your team as they do is to start winning, and start now. Good if not great coaches usually exert a major influence from the word go !

  • Brad Arthur like I said in round 6 has done wonders with our team, u would think he must b close to coach of the year . After 2 wooden spoons n the roster we have now u wouldnt expect us to b 2 points of the completion leaders after round 14. Well done to brad n coaching staff .
  • Sandow played most of the pre-season at fullback and everyone on this forum poo-pooed the idea and had a good ol belly laugh. Look how it all turned out?
    • Very true Pn & I think I was probably one of those cynical fans.

  • The most important thing BA has given to our team is attitude.

  • the guy is a genius. that is why i blogged weeks ago to sign him for 10 years. he is not just the right man for the job, he is perfect cultural fit as well

    • You don't sign a coach for 10 years! DA took us to the GF in '09 and was gone the following year with a team misfiring.

He's certainly getting results now but 3 year deals are all that is required.

Arthur will not go anywhere - he loves the joint!

What we need now is stability and an unprecedented 10 year deal for the coach would be disruptive.

  • Do we have a video review/stats man now or is BA looking after this?

"I think the disappointing part for Pensini was the poor defence last week against Melbourne. Yes everyone was shit. But he missed a one on one tackle for Leo to score. He also got burned in the frist half by Leo but Iongi saved the day."
