Just for once it would be nice to hear Brad actually mention the incosistent and appalling referreeing standards!
Why? The refs were fine. That loss was in our control. Broncos had their home ground advantage just like we have at Bankwest.
Really? Forward pass fromt Gutho that was clearly not a forward pass called incorrectly (even the commentators called it as the wrong call) and Gutho gets done for knocking the ball into touch when the video replay showed it was clearly knocked over the line by the Bronco player? Those kind of things are momentum killers and game changers!
The pass was 50/50. I prefer to see 50/50 calls go to the attacking team, as does nearly everyone - but this is where home ground advantage helps (entire crowd "helping" the ref). Lots of flat or harbour bridge passes have been called forward this year. Sometimes in our favour, sometimes not.
We had plenty of chances to put the game away and take the refs out of it. We didn't. Top teams take the refs out of it by bouncing back from 50/50 calls.
The backwards pass to fergo that was called forward.. the shepherd by Fifita on the tackle before the drop goal ( we were pinned 20m earlier for the same thing).. the block by Boyd block and oanother bronco player on Gutho on the run towards the drop goal. There is 3 x for you
Absolutely disagree. It’ll just give the players excuses. We need to learn to overcome adversity
If the boys have put there bodys on the line to win, and they are robbed by bad reffering, the coach owes it to the team to question wrong decisions. Not 100% sure refs got it wrong.
I agree with that.
If your team puts in a good tough effort and gets dudded by poor refereeing decisions then the coach owes it the the players and the fans to have a dig at the refs.
Most passionate coaches do but for whatever reason BA does not
I don't believe that was the game to blow up about the refs & i respect him not doing it all the time but occasionally when the time is right he should definitely be keeping the refs honest in the media it's all in the timing
Yes, that is a very fair point but there is a healthy track record of decisions this year. I agree with the others, the players need to be good enough to overcome and I can see the validity of not giving the playing group excuses. However, something has to be done. Even when the bunker shows a blatant incorrect call, they rarely over turn it. Why even bother with the technology? Refs are humans and they make mistakes, but the footage show it was a mistake, correct it, it is not that hard!
