Is that the first time in 10 years he questioned the refereeing? At least, not to that extent. I honestly thought the injury to Simonsson was the difference, not the ref. But very strange to see him say all that. Basically saying the ref didn't police the rule changes. Sure, he might be right, but it's a real head scratcher because over the years he has had plenty of chances to blame the refs and never does.

The Sean Russell drop was the bad one, panthers player jumped and didn’t attempt catch it, penalty under new rules.
Exactly and yet Penisini was penalised at the other end
Good to see, normally fairly impartial with the refs. But Klein was a shocker tonight. Deserved a call out.
Agreed, first 30 minutes the Riff never close to onside, they had the luxury of hitting the first receiver as he took the ball... never mind the forward asse from dummy half..
I'll give them credit, a great side that exposed our inept left edge defence.. we need some quality out wide to give us any chance
Didn't go far enough imo. Our CEO needs to quadruple down and show some balls and hammer Klein/Atkins/Annesley. Enough is enough with these 3
Maybe it is the start of him calling the refs out.
Second tume
there was an absolutely pewtrid refs game against raiders last or year before
think it was against Klein or penriths Atkins
That was last year with Atkins then Anusley came out and defended his mistakes
I thought the loss of Simmonsen was a huge loss but I also thought Laui should have been sin binned for it. I thought the Penrith players definitely got away with a lot by slowing down the play the ball, getting in way of Eels defence. I also think the Eels recruitment is extremely poor. They desperately need a quality utility player. Bigger faster wingers and an X Factor player. Buying forwards all the time isn't the answer. If the Eels hadn't lost simmonsen they would have been closer to winning the only difference would have been refereeing calls.
The rule shoild be if a player fails HIA from high shot the tackler gets 10mins sinbin and can't come back on as other team has to reshuffle and 1 less bench player.
Doesn't matter if sinbin is delayed from time of the tackle but failed HIA proves that ref's and bunker clearly made a mistake by not sinbinning player at the time.
