Last week I was not prepared to totally lay the blame for the Eels recent poor performances at the feet of Brad Arthur.
But after last nights humiliating loss to Manly, I believe it is now time for him to go.
Sadly though I don't think he is capable of re-evaluating his coaching methods nor does he have the capacity to consult with others.
His post and pre match comments suggest he doesn't have a clue as to the root causes of the team's performances.
E.g " Maybe we need to do less training!!!!!" W.T......!!!!
Last week Manly threw the ball around against the Storm and nearly won the game. Surely Arthur must have known they would
do the same against the Eels and have the team train for that.
But oh no, the backs looked like headless chooks in defence and worse still it continued in the second half.
Backline defence has been an on again off again issue for most of the season now. Just when they show signs they
have got it sorted they fall back into the same bad habits.
Mike Oldfield looked totally lost on the wing.
Their other main problem is no communication.
Brandon Smith and Cameron Munster are constantly barking orders to other players. So is Kieran Foran.
Last night the Eels play like they had never met each other before.
If Arthur can't see that he needs to resign.
A petition is in order.
