  Typical Tim Sheens. Darius Boyd should be there without a doubt. If you take players on form he should be the fullback in my opinion.
  He has been the best FB all year
  What if Boyd had dropped out through injury. Would they put Tiquiri there instead of Hayne? I dont think so
  As for Gidley, say no more Carney should be there hands down

  Sheens reasoning would have been that Gidley has the ability to cover more spots in the line-up which is fair enough, but when you're average at best in pretty much all of them, the decision is kind of stupid.
  
  At least the three positions we've seen Carney play, he has excelled in.
  
  If Hayne was there, and wasn't injured, he would have played.
  Keep in mind that Tuqiri wasn't even selected in the initial squad for the Four Nations.

  Yeah I know Rick but would sheens had put his boy ahead of Hayne if Boyd had pulled. Probably not but you never know with sheens

  Tiquiri would not make the QLD squad. It is bias from Sheens. The way he breast feeds Farah too sickens me.
  
  And the way Gidley palyed for NSW this year was horrendous. He could not dive on loose balls without giving up possession he could not follow chip and chases. He is the best player out of Newcastle but that is not hard either.
  
  Carney is creative, faster and more agile where Gidley is probably stronger. The sooner he goes to England and plays with his brother the sooner NSW will win a series.
  
  I would have had Boyd on the wing and Carney on the bench without blinking.

  When will these Bastards ever learn that Gidley is mediocre at best. Yes he can cover alot of positions, but the question is "can he cover them well?" the answer would have to be a big NO. Gidley keeps getting picked and Gidley keep proving how ineffective and futile his attacking and defending skills really are at Rep Level.

  Doubt it.
  Hayne is the incumbent winger, one of them at least, and he's given first crack given that he was named in the squad to begin with, whereas Tuqiri only came in due to injury.
  
  Sheens surprisingly isn't actually favouring his own players as much as I thought he would have, given that not even Farah made the 17.

      That's true, but you could see it coming as Cameron Smith gets the first crack at hooker, and will continue to for some time, and then it's almost commonplace to have a utility off the bench, in this case Kurt Gidley, and so Farah doesn't get a look in as there's no point having a hooker and a utility occupy two spots on the bench.
