But on your point about immigration if we don't manufacture our own kids (or enough for natural population growth) then we have to import them.

I'm a small time builder/developer with 5 kids. I used to build a 3 bedroom home for around $300,000. Now we're looking at $530,000. You do the math at what the percentage increase that is in like 3 years or so.
The governments are screaming for more homes whilst they keep raising taxes constantly. A DA/CC used to cost $25-$30k now its over $100k.
In my part of the world I have seen an 8 fold increase in home prices in 25 years VS a 2 fold increase in income for the same job. Again you do the math.

The price of houses in this nation is disgusting. I've seen dumps falling apart for $250k plus. Then you have stamp duty which is ridiculous and real estate agents charging a small fortune. The nation is turning to 💩 💩 💩 very quickly. The gap between the rich and poor is widening very fast. Yet it seems most buying houses are from overseas
