The club was always going to hire Ryles, it's the least controversial for the fans and the media.

This club doesn't do bold, if we were a flavour it'd be vanilla , vanilla that's out of date and tastes bitter.

Six Again, McDermott was interested. Not sure if he still is, or whether the club would do a U-Turn. It seems to be about NRL Reputations optics. Apparant safety. Bentley Bennett was top. The Rockstar Rookies have reputation - a gushing & gooing NRL world.
I think it is Hannay, media don't know much at all. They say Young and Barrett but split between Ryles and Hannay. If it is between Ryles and Hannay why bring up Young and Barrett?
