Blow up --- Big Jnr Paulo

Anyone else hear or see the blow-up by Junior in the tunnel after full time??

Apparently went off like a 2nd hand lawn mower at a fan after it was suggested he give up footy and concentrate on boxing..haha good luck with that one champ leave the big fella to be.

  • The fans not wrong Paulo looks past it.

We are stuffed as a team

  • Well at times very hard to argue. It shows in moments like that you snap when deep down you know what they are saying. Not saying Paulo doesn't care but seems he knows his effort is down.

Hopefully that fires him up next week, since he is seen as quite a quiet character. For him to do that shows he is hurting which is what we want to see. Only way he can shut them up is by performing.

    • True, but could this be like the Michael Jennings crying in the sheds moment from 2018? A wake up call to prove others wrong. Paulo felt frustration and embarrassment. Now the ball is in his court.

    • This !!!!

this was another culture fail by BA . He cultivated such an overly  "  close knit unit " that fans actually don't rate highly on their radar unfortunately

it was team/ coach against the world

      instead of

tradition/ culture / fans/  team AND coach ( see the professional separation)

the tradition/ culture/ fans outlive any team / coach/board and need to be those that the players owe first and foremost

and this needs to be re taught asap

      • 😂,  he's gone , move on  or you'll be here in 3 years time still telling us we are shit because it's still Arthur's culture .

On another note , how bout that Albo ......  glad I don't have to worry about interest rates anymore . It ain't easy under Albanese .

        • Wiz don't be so stupid cancer just doesn't go once it's removed you know that !!!!

treatment takes time after it's removed

it's like a demogorgan or the mind flayed  it has its roots in deep

takes time to change ten years of habits - I know I've just left 20 years of them !!!!😆

          • When Arthur arrived we'd just had a decade of horror and come off a wooden spoon to finish equal 8th.  Soooooo...  I'm guessing if we go well next year it'll be because we punted Arthur , and if we are still shit it'll be because of Arthur's legacy still stinking up the place ?

Hes gone , it has been proven that intrim coaches can win games , its also been proven that new coaches can instantly improve teams as Arthur did it in 2014 massively .  We still have a team that includes a whole heap of past and present internationals and rep players , if who's holding the clipboard makes that much difference to guys that are almost 30 years of age.

You speak of Arthur like he's some kind of Charles Manson type figure with his psychological hold over these players,  my dear 😂😂.

How many of the current squad were coached by him for 10 years ?

            • There's no resilience. Habits take time to unlearn.

  • The fan is correct.

Junz was always one of my favourite players but I couldn't give two shits if the club moved him on.

  • Good, he deserves to cop a pizzlin. He's an absolute embarrassment these days. Jogging into every hit up, lazy in defence. Watching our pack get carved through the middle by a lacklustre Knights who just wanted it more was one of the lowlights of the year.

Side note kinda, felt sorry for Moses, let down by the players around him like Paulo who just have hearts the size of peas. No wonder he gave Gutho a serve on that last play. All he had to do was hit Moses out the back and we had a 3 on 2
