BLAMING 1 MAN

Just have to say yes brian waldron was a cheater and bad man but he is not the only one that knew. i mean all the blame is going towards him. he might be the chief rat but then their must have been other rats, i mean you cant have a chief and no indians, someone has to do the hard work. You see everyone coming out and saying they had nothing to do with it and knew nothing about it but they are always just protecting their themselves.
I would be pretty sure to say a fair few officials and the coach woulda known what was going on. As if bellamy who has been their for awhile didnt know something was going on to keep their superstars. Im sure even some of the big name players would know. but everyone keeps denying it and passing the buck back to waldron. It takes more than 1 man to make a TEAM cheat the system, i mean where was the money coming from? how did the money get to the players?  someone had to have been involved and known these things. if you are getting paid into 2 seperate accounts wouldnt it be a bit suss.
just think he is being made a scapegoat to protect others and i hope he comes out and nails the others involved.

  • Yep what he said!!

And we are never going to know the real story out of this mess either!!!!
  • I agree, Waldron would have only been able to operate as a cheat if it was not contrary to the culture of the club in my opinion.

The problem is if Waldron is certain he is going down (he probably isn't sure yet) then he will take a few down with him.

Gus said last night that he has cocked the gun and should just fire it - well I can tell you he won't fire the gun until it is absolutley necessary and then he could do some major damage to teh reputation of a lot of people.
  • the players must of known. the storm were done and found to have "2 sets of books". now the players can plead innocence all they want but for there to be 2 contract books doesn't that mean they had to sign 2 contracts. one for the nrl and one for the storm. they knew and like the storms attitude they thought they were better and smarter then anyone else. i have no sympathy for any of them and if ANY persons are found guilty of this i hope legal charges follow
  • I still don't know whether you can say the players must have known.

Like Blocker Roach said last night on the Matty Johns show, the player is happy to take whatever he gets. With the complexity in what is a legal vs illegal third party payment its not a players resoponsibility to look into it.

Who knows what the players were told about the need to sign two contracts etc - remember these are footy players not contract lawyers.

"The best footy fit for Galvin was always the eels, so he can develop with Iongi/Ryley smith and learn off Moses. Eels play an up tempo style of footy that suits him. Dogs is very slow and methodical complete opposite of Galvin game. Was never going…"
