Blame The Players Not Club, Board or Coach

I don't blame Brad Arthur, the club or board if players choose to leave. Yes, I'm really pissed that Nuikore, Papali'i and Mahoney are leaving but they've chosen to seek more money instead of displaying some guts and courage by saying a big thankyou to the club, coach and board that have actually put their name up in lights to attract attention from other clubs. Where were these players 2 or 3 years ago? Basically nowhere. Who do they have to thank for making it? Yes, their own commitment but also the club, coach and board who put time, energy and effort in to making them something. How do they repay the club, fans, board and coaches by giving them the big Fuck you over some more money. No loyalty, no playing for the club or fans anymore but its all money. I hope they all turn to shit wherever they go. Its Jamie Lyons all over again. I applaud the Eels coach, club and board for standing their ground and I believe the Eels will better with these clowns gone. RCG is the only player who is saying a big thankyou for the club believing in him.

  • Seriously?

In this day and age you are trying to play the loyalty card.

    That's a cop out.

There is very little loyalty in the world today let alone in sports.

    Money talks and bullshit walks.

We low balled Mahoney and he walked to a different club.

This is solely on the board and R & R committee and they have now set us back at least another 5 to 10 years.

There will be player disharmony next year and we will be lucky to scrape into the top 8.

From 2023 we will be fighting it out with the bottom 4 yet again while we go through another 10 year rebuilding phase.

    • and thanks for making it easy to read BEM

    • Bloody oath BEM why they didn't deal with the group as the me me me many job generation they are

      driven my instant gratification generation

      I'll never know

      pathetic

    • So you reckon that because we low balled Mahoney he was so affronted that he went to the Dogs and that was what caused the defection ?
Sorry - there is more to it than that.

      • Or perhaps Ayoub just played all of us like a pack of fools to pump up his and Mahoneys final position?

        • lots of good salesmen around EE and gullible people as well.. It may not have been all about the money if as Super says there was not much difference between the final offers from Parra and the dogs

          • True Tad.  Just trying to offer a little something out of the box mate. No doubt I will be wrong.  Either way in current state of play, things don't make sense here as it presently stands.

          • Tad, do you mean as in blowing wind up his arse and massaging his ego or other more tangible extras

      • Not saying that's the only reason Fathead but I reckon it was definitely a big part of it.

      • Too right Fathead
