BLAME - PEOPLE VS INANIMATE OBJECTS

On the back of a really bad SOO result (for Blues supporters) I was wondering who will take the blame for this? Our society has developed into one where blame can not be put onto a person but onto a object where feelings can't be hurt and we can't be held responsible for causing someone to possibly fall into depression etc.Now I read that someone believes we need to make schools fit the student rather than students fit the school. Why? When they leave they will be expected to fit into society, won't they? Why aren't parents held responsible for wayward children rather than schools expected to be responsible for changing to meet their needs.Because the school is an object an can't take offence whereas parent may claim that they are being victimised by such accusations.Isn't it time for people to accept when they stuff up? Acknowledge when they haven't done a good job?We as a PC society blame the government and business for a poor economy when there are people out there not willing to work or making dodgy insurance claims.Stuff feelings, if you broke it claim it and fix it.Who is going to claim fault for that effort last night? That's right, "we had a perfect lead up, we never saw it coming, but they'll be better prepared next year and will have learnt from this". No, people have to take responsibly and make changes.*end of rant

  • Yeah, I think you may have mentioned that once before" lol
  • I blame the Greeks, they don't take responsibility for anything.

    • I blame them for creating democracy. In dictatorships there's one guy who's responsible for everything!
  • Insightful, deep and thought provoking. Lol
  • We have that, it's call corporations. They control everything but let us believe we have a say.

They pay their leaders multi million $ contracts, where we pay our 'leader' $500k. Who do you think will get the best candidates?

    We're screwed.
  • I agreed with everything you didn't say Poppa.
  • As I said. It's not my fault.
  • lol, mods edited that one quickly.

I always thought that was a lack of understanding. I'm surprised they haven't breed out.

  • What about ISDS Tad. Corporations suing governments if laws are changed and they prove it effects their profits. Free trade agreements are a joke. Democracy is dead. Politicians lining their wallets rather than look after the people's best interests. Unbeleivable, main stream media becomes their advocate.
  • Governments now abrogate all democratic principles by abrogating all decision making to minority groups who have a vested interest aka "a barrow to push". Government used to make informed decisions based on speaking to all interested parties and then making decisions that have the overall good in mind without kowtowing to any minorities. Now they listen to minority groups who have a barrow to push and put that groups interests into law to get votes, without that overall helicopter perspective of what is in the countries best interest. We used to look at what the entire ramifications of an issue were including the absolute non negotiable of maintaining privacy. Without privacy there is no democracy. Giving coercive powers to film (spy) etc to Government agencies and media without first needing a Judge approved warrant is not democracy. No media outlet should be allowed to film anything without an approved warrant and anything filmed without one should not be able to be used in any capacity. But that is how we used to be..... and Queensland were never onside, moving up before the play the ball
