Blaize offered 3 years 1.1 mill contract.

Being reported that the eels have offered Blaize 3 years 1.1 mill. Pretty good contract and hopefully he accepts that as most young players don't get this sort of contract often.

  • That's a good offer. He's not going to attract anything better. He's still got massive holes in his game and he's nowhere near as physically ready as say Jarryd Hayne at the same age.

  • 366k per season.
    Probably 300,375,450

  • 😳

  • Mark O'Neil strikes again.  Easier to just offer  shitloads and cross our fingers . Now comes the part where Blaise sits on it for 6 months to see if he can get a better one, whilst other clubs know what they have to beat if he keeps improving. We shouldn't even be hearing about this step.  Who's releasing this information ?  His old man to create a Dutch auction ?
it's a huge offer , shoudve been a sign it now type scenario.

    • They won't sign that Wiz, they'll hold out for me and we will obligingly offer it ..

What a useless bunch of negotiators we have at the club.

    • Looking at what Adam Douhie got offered that would be a great safety net if Blaize wants to move along lol. Club has given him a good offer up to him now.

    • Blaize has got Kalyn Ponga attitude about him wraps and all, if his old man's like old Andre we've got a few years of destabilisation in front of us.

That offer if trues on the high end now and I'm sure if he exceeds expectations Isaac Moses will have his hand out wanting  upgrades 18 months in.

Another player and manager on our books who prefer to drag negotiations through the media.

      • This is the thing, it only goes up from here.  We've offered another kid huge money based on potential , so when he improves a bit we have to upgrade on top of already overs. Until Guthersons contract we never had any of these leaking out into the media. Now it's common practise. We are off to a poor attitude towards the club right from the get go and wonder why we have this poor fucking culture.

Well it starts with the player , his manager and his family having zero respect for Mark Oneill.

  • has a few get out clauses too im sure

    • Yeah, if it's a day ending with Y, or the player thinks he can get more money on the open market , get out clause is triggered.
