Big year for Eels according to Fox reporters

Hi All

I am rubbish when it comes to technology so have no idea how to link articles so hopefully someone can dig this story up and add the link.

The story is bold predictions for 2022 and has Eels vs Roosters GF with the eels winning it. It also has Mitch Moses winning the Dally M.

I'm not sure what would be more pleasurable than beating the roosters of all teams to finally break the drought

It also has South's to miss the 8 and the broncos to make the 8.

What does everyone think. Are we really such a big chance this year or is it just another false dawn. I think we need to get one of the bronco's wingers or we will struggle to get the sets started on the front foot. If that happens as the saying goes "why not us"

You are right, we need to get that wing situation sorted out and if we do there are no excuses for not being a real contender. We have been playing finals footy for a few years now and have been a top 4 team or there abouts, we have a forward pack that is easily in the top 3 packs in the comp and a half back that should be in his prime right about now.

It is hard to judge based on trial matches.

If we were basing it on trial matches, I would say a Roosters v Panthers GF with Manly as the dark horse.

I have us finishing 8th - 10th.

I am only basing this on trial form.

Not sure and way too early to say. My concerns are if:

1) Mahoney gets an injury who replaces him?

2) Will the 4 Departing Amigos give there all or will they fade into obscurity?

3) Decent winger needed

It's hard to believe a winger has become so important to a team to be a contender. It show how different the game is from 10-15 years ago
