With the news that Corey Norman wont be playing this week the Eels are faced with a great challenge to play without our halfback and quite clearly our best player. I know it was during the 9's but when he went down we lacked direction and creativity .
We are currently first on the ladder and have a lot of hype surrounding us but if we are the real deal its important we can still play well and win games without our players. That's what the good teams do, we cant be a one man team, meaning we can not fall apart without Norman. There is lot of talk that Norman may be picked for Queensland for Origin as a utility player, with Parramatta having zero bye during Origin there is a chance he may miss him for another 3 games. I know we wont be as good without him but I don't want to see us fall apart like in previous years when Jarryd Hayne was unavailable.

I hate to say it but I think we are a one man side all ways was all way will just look when Sterlo was playing we were winning but when he retired we were shit then we put our hands on Kenny then he retired we were shit even more then along came this bloke called Hayne when he did do nothing or played we were shit and then along came Norman we were winning again but last year he got suspension we were shit again I know went all right but not the same with him
ILL BE BACK
I love ya, Arnie!
Y'all come back now, y'hear.
Bring your umbrella. It's pissing down up here!!
I can't see Norman knocking off Thurston, Cronk or Boyd to be honest. Even on the bench he would be wasted and I think they will go with DCE if they want a utility player (although there are probably better options there). Cronk can't be far off retiring and I think Norman will take the reins after that. Unfortunately for NSW, that means QLD have progression plans and will not be easy beats once their greats retire.
Is there a way we can change his playing history to show that he is a New South Welshman? QLD did this with Inglis.
But for Parra's sake, we need to be able to win without him, otherwise he becomes our next Hayne.
