"Yea its a surprise, but I think Ryles wants to give Samrani a hit out in reserve grade, as he is next cab off the rank if injury hits our backs.
Samrami under normal circumstances would be in the top 19.

"You're spot on with Samrani Mace. I fear he would be better able to defuse the bombarment thats coming his way "
"Ryles alluded to something going on last year. I suspect that all is not exactly well with Matterson, hence why he only played a handful of games last year. I hope he is OK and I'm sure the club is supporting him in this. It's been painted that…"

AS a teenager, Bevan French wasn’t allowed to play first grade with Tingha.
The ban placed not by his hometown coach, but mum Tiffany — who not only dragged her boy from the dressing room one Sunday afternoon, but demanded he remove his jersey and stand down.
So the kid, he knows how to wait. Which is good.
For despite being the undisputed star of the 2016 Auckland Nines, 20-year-old French is unlikely to start the season in first grade with tournament winners, the Parramatta Eels.
Apart from bagging eight tries, the most of any player in Nines history, the livewire bushie also earned a place in the Team of the Tournament.
Yet when asked if his rising star was ready for the NRL, Eels coach Brad Arthur replied: “Oh, I’ve got no idea.
It will depend on whether we have injuries to our outside top 25 contracted backs. If this season is like the previous 3 seasons regarding injuries he will make his debut this season in the first half of the season. As he is not a top 25 contracted player he is significantly restricted with how many games he would be eligible to play in the NRL barring injuries. If you want Bevan to play in the NRL you will need to wish for injuries.
