BEVAN FRENCH

Could French provide the X factor for the eels.

I personally would love to see Bev back at the eels,

Got voted best player in the super league a few years ago, his pace and acceleration is par with JAC.

If we did sigh French where would we play him?

I would put him at full back move gutho to 6 a and dyllbags to 9 maybe? Would Dyllbags make a good no 9? I think he would, great defender good passing game and would be lightning out of dummy half.

The Game has changed since Bevan left and is way more suited to the recent changes, having a look on his you tube at his super leuge highlights reels, he is a freak.  Has X factor written all over him.

  • The only X I want to see mentioned with Bevan French and The Eels is the one that goes through his name.

    • Why what de he do to you? Lol

      • He's shit .

        • Must be shit if he's the best player in super league. Did you watch his highlights before you commented? Doesn't look shit to me .....

        • Lol do you do a lot of drugs?... He would be a great player to have in our side.

  • Would be a good # 14

  • EP looks like the Wiz is an emphatic no but let's consider

option I - start with Bevan at 1 DB at 9 and Gutho to 6 and what happens to Reed( still our best Dummy Half) I think every position is worst off - Bevan defense is going to be tested

option II start Bevan as 14 - i think the best 14s can cover DH and Lock - meaning they can get involved over there short time on the field as well as cover injuries to the outside backs. I am again unsure of Bevan's defense if playing at 9 or 13. Option IIa moving Dylan to 9 or 13 to allow Bevan to play 6 i think disrupts the teams offensive and defensive cohesion and with only limited opportunities for the 6 to have any impact in the limited time allowed for a 14 Option IIb move Gutho to 9 or 13 and allow Bevan to play 1 with the same downside as IIa with may be more opportunities for Bevan to be involved

As back up player not sure if you would want Bevan playing in the halves but could play a Jai Field role petty well but not a JA role and again could play FB affectively and i think would be first choice to cover Gutho. Centre and wing I think he needs more size.

I do believe he has x factor just not sure how we would apply it within our current team structure and make up - as back up player he might be to expensive.

Last comment when he last played for us his effort levels were way down which indicated he was at odds with the team and coach (so what's changed) on the other hand have seen what he can do both in defense and offense when motivated.

Howz that for sitting on the fence?

    • Fair comments you make there.

  • I'm sorry I don't like it, he wasn't good enough 4 years ago, get real will you.
