  I think we may get a preview of the backline for next year. My guess is that Taka may have a different role, possibly off the bench a la Ben Smith.

  Even if he is dropped he has gained heaps. There is nothing wrong by taking all the expectation and pressure off for 2-3 weeks. I hate the fact that the press are crapping on about him. I hope it doesn't go to his head. He still has a lot to learn and definitely needs some extra kilos. If he doesn't get past his markers he's in danger of being pushed over the side line.

    People keep saying he needs a few more kgs. WTF! How many players have they been saying that about? Alfie, Keary, Lockyer, Slater, even Steve Ella who was a match stick when entered fg, are but a few that have performed well at a light weight. Players eventually find their natural weight but that doesn't stop them playing good football. Yes sometimes they get run over but the same happens to even the biggest players. Tackling is about technique not how big you are. Just let him play, he can tackle as evidenced by his great tackle on Wade Graham, a much heavier man.

  Nothing wrong with French dropping back to Wenty and Hayneing them into winning nsw cup. Good experience.

  Taka is a centre, a good one at that and shouldn't be put anywhere else. French going back to Wenty for a while isn't a bad thing. He is young and has plenty of footy ahead of him.
