Betting suspended

Just had a quick look on Sportsbet and we've been removed from at least 3 markets. We're currently at $17 to win the gf, but we've been removed from top 4, top 8 and least win markets. The fact we're still on the gf market gives a little hope but not sure how we'll fare.

  • http://www.sportsbet.com.au/betting/rugby-league/nrl?QuickLinks they suspend betting on top 4 and top 8 finish but we move from $19 to $17 to win the grand final

Seems a bit odd, we are they suggesting we won't be copping a heavy penalty loss?

    • That's sort of what I thought, that they're still giving us a chance and just waiting for the penalty to adjust the market. Though not being in the least wins markets makes me think that they think we could have no hope and give up
  • I'm surprised they haven't been removed from all markets. Bookmakers don't typically like to factor in what are essentially multiple bets into the one market. ie what price points, how many and if that happens what will be the impact on their ultimate chances.

  • On William Hill all markets are still open

    Eels

    2016 halfway leader $51 (Dogs $151, Storm $12, Sharks $7.50, Cowboys $2.20. Broncos $2.15)

Top 8: $1.30 (puts Parra between the Dogs at $1.35 and Storm at $1.15)

Top 4: $3.0 (again between Dogs $3.75 and Storm $2.10)

Premiers: $11 (Eels on same line as Storm and just behind the Sharks at $7 and the Brisbane $4 and Cowboys $3.75)

While numbers are different the lines are about the same as the premiership market for the making the grand final and minor premiers where Parra are even with the Storm and behind the Sharks with the 2 QLD teams well ahead of everyone
