Betting on the Eels

I can't be the only one but does anyone else back the opposition at the plus when we are favorites to have a win win weekend? For example this weekend have $50 on Nth Qld  at the + 14.5. Lose and at least your bet gets up. Win 24-10 and happy days bet gets up and the eels win.  Win by more than that and you've paid the price of admission and a pie for a big Parra win!.... No? Just me?

  • Never. I never ever bet against Parra. I can't do it & never will. I actually back Parra every week in some way shape or form . Might only be a FTS if I'm not confident or SGM, but if I really like them I'll always take them minus & a first try scorer. Never bet against them . Would rather not bet than do what you do .

    • You sound like a fun chap

    • X2

  • Yeah, I'll put a multi on if I think we'll get flogged with the aim to hopefully lose money. If not, at least I'll get the bet up.

    • No I'm saying when we are favourites backing the other team at the plus. We can still beat the Cows by 14 and the bet still wins. Why is this so hard?

      • So when Parra get out to a 20 point lead you then cheer for the cows to score so you win both ways? Yeah see I can't cheer for the opposition no matter what. Even if It means collecting.

        • No, I cheer on the big win. Nothing pleases me more than a big Eels win so I am happy to lose the bet.

  • It's like buying an insurance policy that only the good teams can purchase.

  • With different betting agencies offering different money back offers, I always have few bets on each game with different agencies hedging my bets.

I might not win as much but if 1 gets up I have a win, and chance to halve my losses or break even with money back offers.
