One of the Eel's sponsor major sponsors, betting.club, is also offering its support for the 1Eyed Eel community and is running a promotion this week for one 1Eyed Eel reader to win six tickets to this week's match against the Panthers.
You just have to caption a picture featuring a "Kenny hug" from the Bulldogs game and e-mail your entries to competitions@betting.club.

betting.club are this year's Eels back of shorts sponsor and also have taken the naming rights of the lounge at Pirtek.
They are one hundred percent owned and community-backed, being a subsidiary of the Mounties Group.
They are also offering what they call their 'EELECTRIC odds' for each Eels match. If you register an Eels supporter, you'll get a text with special odds each week. I took the Eels at 4.0 against the Tigers, and they were offering 5.0 against the Cowboys and Bulldogs the weeks prior.
We're doing a partnership with betting.club this year, so they'll be various giveaways throughout the season for you guys.

By the way I have a bet and can manage it. Let's leave this place gambling company free
PHIL- Is the site picking up a nice fee for this???
Wish I would of known last week Phil, I was able to pick Jnr as 1st try scorer & also Jnr 1st try scorer into Parra 1 to 12 margin. A very handy return.
As far as having a promo's run on the site, I reckon it's a great idea. You got to move with the times or get left behind. Sports betting is huge in this country and many NRL teams have some sort of sponsorship from some the of various agencies that are out there.
There are no pop-up advertising on this site. If you pop-ups, you've got an extension that is doing it or you have malware.
Have to agree with Wiz on this one.
Is this site a commercial venture because i'm not to sure that sports betting is something that should be promoted so openly on a public fan forum.
It's a bit cynical imo and may not have been properly thought through.
Thanks "betting.club", but I have my own ticket.
Disappointing.
Im not so sure Kram, its a huge part of the game and its not going to change.
Ive no problem with kids seeing betting ads, most of them see all sorts of horrific shit on the net, seeing a betting sponsors name on shorts or seeing betting advertised is nothing that bad.
Our club is run from the proceeds of gambling, without gambling our club might not exist.
Im saying this having seen a close family member commit suicide over pokie addiction combined with mental illness, but you cant remove everything out of society just because some people cant handle it, there will be nothing left to remove.
You have a short memory Kram.
Fair call Wiz, each to their own. Commercial molesting might be a stretch though. As individuals we are all accountable for our own choices whether they be good, bad or indifferent it's up to the individual. I can't blame anyone else for the choices / decisions I make.
Totally agree JJ.
