Better Option Eels vs Souths or Knights?

I assume most people would prefer an Eels vs Knights. However, Im not so sure. If the Knights were to beat Souths this afternoon it would certainly give them great motivation against the Eels. However, on the other hand if Souths beat the Knights in a convincing manner they may approach the game against the Eels in an 'easy game' mindset having already flogged the Eels earlier. Im kind of thinking it might actually be better for the Eels to play Souths.

  • I'd rather Knights but either won't be easy.

  • PROBLEM: we just completed a massively draining effort against the Storm - I am not confident the coach will adopt the right training approach this week to have us up for our next game.

He will want EFFORT and deplete them even further imo.

This week should be light training, ball security and DISCIPLINE based on the idea to have the team as fit as they can be.

    Nuikore, Fergo and Sivo OUT.

Now I haven't done a team list ALL year so here goes.

Wingers - Waqa and who? Dunster cannot be an option as he is unknown and has not played ths year.

Davey covered his role well at centre so possibly Jenko to wing with Taka as the other centre.

At least this might do something to cover our lack of defence out wide.

I think Knights could be a bigger threat than the Bunnies, faster and more creative if they are on - based on last night's game we should be able to roll either team imo, IF Ole Bushy handles them properly through this next week.

Summary - let's hope Bunnies and Knights go hard and smash the crap out of each oother - after all it is an elimination game with everything to lose for one team.

    • Agree, lets hope Knights and Souths knock each other senseless

  • Obviously both are going to be hard games. We are still off the pace from the really top sides, but if you told me at the start of the year we'd have to beat Souths or Newcastle and then Penrith to make GF I'd have been happy with that outcome.

  • I thought Fergo defence was much better against the storm. I think he was only beaten on the outside once only because JAC speed. Blake left him with a 2 v 1 reguarly and Fergo did pretty well espically considering he had to mark the fastest player who goes through the tiniest of holes. I really hope Fergo has an amzaing recovery and can play. If he does I would split him and Blake apart. Jennings should defend next to Moses because he is a much better defender than Blake, and D Brown is also a much better defender than Moses. With Sivo also gone, Jenko should switch to help supply are better finisher in Fergo. Sterlo spoke about how Jennings should teach the art of defending to Blake. Personally, if Fergo was fit, I would play 1. Gutho 2. Fergo. 3. Jenko 4. W Smith 5. Blake. If Blake doesnt defend well in training and keeps coming in and Fero can't play, put in Taka or G Gennings.

  • Our edge defence is the sole reason I want ot play knights. Cody Walker is labelled the best short side player in the game, so he will rip our edge defence to pieces. Also Renolyds can control the game so much with his short kicking game. For Rabbits its just whether there fowards can match it with their opponents. Knights are so inconsistent and I would back the eels to beat them.

  • Knights . Souths will put 50 on us
