better fullback wins

A week before the GG I made comment that which ever fullback performs better in the GF would decide that teams victory and while I'm a BIG PARRA fan and felt heartache at our boys defeat it showed to be the right call.Now at the time peple had said it's more than a one man team etc and I agree but these 2 guys are the pinnacle of their respective sides and whilst I don't believe Billy Slater was "Clive Churchill" material on the day his performance was one clearly above Hayne's

    I disagree that he was clearly better than Hayne - check the stats .... He failed to stop Eric and Fui made more errors and missed 4 tackles. Anyway I'm still hurting from that game..

    And I am still waiting for someone to explain how Slater got the Clive Churchill medal.

      He was the shortest odds, therefore our good friends over at the TAB didn't lose any money. Enough reason for me.

    Slater's efforts didn't just extend to him having the ball. The breaks for the Blair and Slater tries both came because our defenders were worried about Billy wrapping out the back of the play to create the extra man - allowing the man with the ball to split the defence. You can put both those tries down to Slater the fear he instilled in our defence.

    Slater was good but not Brilliant!!

    Haynesy just had a quiet night, but he never really had any opportunities either!

    Is should have gone to Cronk!!

    If their was ever a case of MOM going to a losing side FUI FUI would have been the man!!!
