Best teams to win the comp - Where do we stand?

So who do you think is really in the running to win the comp this far in because if you listen to an expert its already a 2 horse race and I just don't believe that its that cut and dry.

Does anyone think the Sharks can go on a run to challenge the big guys? I genuinely think Parra is good enough to beat BOTH Broncos and Cowboys but of course points deduction dependent as to whether we will get a chance.

Is there anyone else you fancy? There are a few about but I guess my tip aside from the Eels is the Cowboys. I just genuinely don't think the Broncos are as good as they are being talked up despite where they sit.

Thoughts?

  • The teams who i think mite win the grand final is the Cowboys broncos Parramatta Bulldogs sharks that's it no one else

if they NRL only take 8 or less of us we should still make the 8 just we wont make the top 4 no way  if they don't take the ponts of us we  make the top 3

    • Bulldogs, mmm interesting. I don't rate them this year as I don't rate their halves.

    • Bulldogs WLWL and against an even spread of top and bottom teams has me thinking they will struggle this year.
    • I think dogs will be in the mix and panthers as well. Cowboys and Broncos the benchmark closely followed by eels, scum and sharks.
  • I think Broncos and Cowboys are playing the best they can at the moment and in top form. It'll be interesting to see if they can maintain it through the whole season especially through rep rounds.
Parra are yet to hit top form with all the new combinations and yet we're still up, there, also considering the draw we have had first 10 rounds, so I think we're a big chance depending on how many points gets deducted.
Sharks are another good team, but yet to be tested by real opposition.
Manly also are a surprise for me, I think they'll push to the semi's.
  • Presently, Broncos, Cowboys, Storm, Dogs, Sharks and Eels look genuine top 8.

Panthers are smokies, just need to close out tight games.

  • I dont think it will be a tight comp this year broncos, cowboys, eels, sharks, storm and dogs are the only teams i think are a genuine threat. The rest of the 11 teams just make up the numbers. Certain teams like penrith, manly and raiders can challenge the top teams but will struggle to keep the momentum week in week out.
  • Broncos and cows have gone two years without major injuries to key players.
    Panthers have been decimated.
If the cows lose thruston they will fold. If the broncos lose Hunt or Milford , they will suffer.
    It all depends on injuries.
  • Roosters might start coming back with Pearce and the forwards they are getting back. Cowboys and broncs top form can't get much better. If we get into the eight and don't lose a key player I reckon we could win it for sure. We still have alot of improving left and are going to be hard to beat. Just have to wait and see how many points we lose. Sharks are a solid team and still improving so wouldn't surprise me if they get there. Raiders showed what they can do when they are on yeh only against a shocking tigers team but if they get everything rolling even though I can't stand to say it they might be there close to the end. Start of year I would of had panthers up there but way to many injuries.
  • everyone cool their jets on the Sharks.
they have had the easiest draw out of everyonè. Broncos will test them.
