Best defence in the competition

Not sure if anyone realises, but the Eels now have the best defence in the competition. We have let in only 6 points in 2 games and those 6 points were at the end of the game against the dogs.I cant remember a year when our defence has been this good.

  • And the dogs were fortunate to score those. The dogs and tigers have put on big scores this season as well so it's not like they can't attack
  • 1999. We were dominant in defence led by Pay & McCracken with a young Cayless & Hindmarsh. This team is starting to give me those same good feelings!
  • I think we could see a season where Parra don't have many gaps in their defense. No line breaks conceded today. Todays' defensive effort was similar to the '86 GF.
  • Nice post Outrunna full credit to those players BA has recruited. Week by week are seeing the benefits of the offseason and the work the coaching staff have done.
  • Beau Scott.
  • BA recruiting some tough nuts.
  • Thing that impressed me is that the Tigers are no mugs in attack but we forced them into errors with our in your face defense. Keeping them to 0 is some achievement.

Sure they made some errors but watch the game again, most were forced by great defensive pressure.

  • Bulldogs fans are complaining over there at the Kennel saying that the reason we have improved defensively is because we are consistently offside.

Cant wait for round 2 to shut those fekkers up.
