I arrive at the club carpark, to be immediately greeted by a complete halfwit wearing a blue polo shirt with yellow Parramatta Professionals insignia.
"Hope your not voting for bloody Sharp big fella, unless you want to come last again ha ha ha ha" his first and only words as a Parramatta Professionals pamphlet is thrust in front of me. My reply was short but polite. "Get the F@&K out of my face moron" Before he B-lined to the next car to arrive.
I spot Steve Sharp in suit and club tie standing in front of the foyers entrance and I feel compelled to go over and shake his hand "Thank-you Steve, your doing a great job" Ray Price who was lingering in close proximity and in ear shot, dressed in shorts starts to laugh and says "You gotta be kidding" Sharps reply (to me) "I greatly appreciate that mate" without giving Price the satisfaction of turning his head or acknowledging the comment.
I register and cast my vote.(takes no more than 2 minutes, from the time you enter the club, have your membership validated, vote and get back into your car)
I exit the club and make my way towards my car, when I spot the "Emperor" tucked around the corner with 4 blue polo shirt sprukers (all of Asian descent) nothing more than a coincidence I'm sure, as 5pm approaches and the pokie machine players start rolling in to blow their weekly pay packets.
As I start my car and head off home I only have one thought. "I really hope everyone who supports Steve Sharp (ParraFirst) and are eligible to vote make the effort to do so, we absolutely can not leave this election up to chance" The club will be completely destroyed otherwise, and we the suffering fans will be the biggest losers, again.
If you are a voting member and haven't done so yet, make the small sacrifice on the weekend to get to the club and vote. If we all do, we get the outcome we want. It's that simple.
EDIT - Hey Bert I just edited the title of this blog so that everyone can use this thread to tell us of their voting experience etc... I know you wouldn't mind.
