  • Why? To positive for you fong lol?
  • Lol
  • What about the fool asking about security and televisions .  If she was asking me questions about irrelevant stuff like that when we are discussing a massive financial negotiation I would’ve stopped and told her to get back in the kitchen .

As for the deal , the fact he said they’re miles apart is a worry . I’m kinda bilwildered that the rent wasn’t agreed on months and months ago.  Very strange .

    • Hopefully a deal can get sorted soon. We’ve got a bit off time as we weren’t scheduled to play there till Round 6 but we wouldn’t wanna leave it too late.

  • Fong,  Bernie has been in the front foot with these dealings deserves praise. Also i sense a change in the direction the club is heading in regards to signings particularly and re-signings and feel Gurr is finally putting his foot down as a leader.

Yes there's been problems previously with the club being too reactionary, and Bernies copped his fair share. Credit where credits due. Very impressed with his presser here.

    • Sharp actually fkd the club just as he was being sacked by agreeing to a substandard deal with ANZ Stadium.

Gurr actually tried to reverse the deal but venues nsw would budge as we had to honor the signed contract

There's no way you can compare Sharp to Gurr on this subject

  • Quite impressed with his talk . Delivered good strong messages and bit of leadership .

Shame that leadership doesn’t and hasn’t flowed through to the nrl team and recruiting the right staff and players to achieve everything he stated the stadium could.
  • He’s a very good operator Bernie and I’ve always been impressed by him. I honestly can’t understand criticism of him. He’s trying to establish parramatta as a powerhouse and sometimes that means faking it until you make it. We might not have the economic clout of some of the other sides but we should and in order to get there you need to show strength in all dealings. Results in the field will help but let’s be honest they aren’t Bernie’s fault and they will come eventually.
    • He’s always struck me as having a very clear plan as to where he wants to take the club. He doesn’t compromise on his principles and he makes decisions based on what’s best for the club brand and with a long term financial view. He doesn’t make snap decisions and he doesn’t get involved in any media bickering. He’s no nonsense. Look he’s obviously been hampered by poor on field results particularly this year but you can’t pin them on him. Fong would you be critical of him if we had finished top 4 on the field this year? If so why and is it really something you can attribute blame to him on?
      • He talks the talk , has done since day one .  Almost politician like , the way he kept repeating the same lines over and over again . He is a very good speaker as he has an emotionless approach , where as someone like Sharp was too emational and spoke like an ex player .

Bernie hasn’t really done anything exeptional here other than knock back a stupid price .  It’s good to see we aren’t jumping into ridiculous contracts , but I’m not getting overly moist like some just becasue the guy actually was smart enough to say no .  You guys are so easily pleased becasue the guy can repeat the same sentence about getting value for the fans 6 times in one interview .

ME , I was critical of Bernie even last year when we finished top 4 mate .
