Sign up ! # SAVENATHANExtend Brown until 2021 and make him captainThe argument is over. Nathan Brown is the buy of the season. So how much did the lock cost Parramatta? Private Ryan can reveal the Eels only had to pay $170,000 a season for his services. To put into perspective, Brown’s opposition lock last week, David Klemmer, is on a reported $600,000 a season.Dog binned, Eels robbed?1:57On Thursday night the 24-year-old ran for 218 metres from 25 carries. He also topped the tackle count with 41 in an incredible 82 minute performance. It was a Herculean effort but one Brown’s produced several times this season. A former Tiger and Rabbit, Brown joined the Eels this season after Souths decided to offer him a deal just above a second tier deal. The Eels’ decision to pay him a smudge more is one already paying dividends.

  • There's no rush we did give him a lifeline when no one else wanted him and how much do you think he should be getting
  • And he didn't top the tackle count that's a load of crap!
  • Sign him now
  • We should be paying Brown what he is worth to us. We have to avoid a Semi like sutuation where he feels he was underpaid and had to catch up. A player is more likely to resist a big offer down the track by whichever club is cashed up at that point if they have been at least fairly paid up to then.
  • If we were voting TODAY on Supporters Choice Player of the Year I expect it would be neck and neck between The King and Browny!!!

170K is ridiculously cheap if true and certainly about only 40% of his worth on the open market.

Upgrade him now so long as it's long term.

Maybe a DCE style "lifetime deal". And write one up for The King and The "Bush Coach" too while they're at it!

    • Spot on Gol, but that sounds far to smart for our club.
