When did BA decide it was a good idea to have zero impact players off the bench.
Aside from Jake who's ridiculous injury cover for one player (we've been over him a tonne ), Makatoa offers next to nothing and receives inconsistent minutes . You can't tell me N Brown and Bryce Cartwright aren't in the 17 best players at this club right now . They may both be on the outer with BA but both offer something.
Bryce Cartwright can be emergency halves cover but if you're chasing points and lacking creativity he can come on and do something out of the ordinary . You don't need to play him if they game doesn't suit but having him as an option would be handy .
N Brown has been out of form for a while but if you're giving the 16 on the bench bugger all mins i'm sure he can come on and try lift the intensity and bring 15 mins of passion.
Relying so heavily on our starting 13 is a problem. We need some guys who can come on and provide spark not whatever BA has decided to do this year .A 10 year coach and he still makes baffling choices.

Yep we get no spark off the bench. Niukore is out of form and looking to his big payout with the warriors. Makatoa is underwhelming and only get 10mins a game. Kaufusi is no better. Im not going to say anything about JA that's on his dad.

Baffling, head shaker, I do not understand what BA thinks he is doing with the bench.
the best Parra teams over the past 20 years had strong impact benches.
Pj Marsh , Brad Drew , Widders , Solomona etc .. the last 2 especially wouldn't get a run in a BA team because they were skilful players who could ad- lib not collision chasers.
Watching Penrith tonight the lift they got from Sorenson, Spencer L etc really helped them up the intensity . I don't know what BA is trying to do . At a point on Thursday we had Matto, RCG and Paulo all off for their short breaks at once .
The bloke has been telling everyone how strong our squad is and how much depth we have all year but he can't pick 4 blokes outside the starting 13 worth a lick. Truely bizarre coaching .

the days of pj marsh drew widders were ones where we had teams of balance and impact and we could bloody put the knife in
N Brown has to be on the bench or starting. He started in both wins against Penrith and Melbourne this year and is the only player we have with real mongrel. His line speed in defence is something we've been missing in a big way. Mattersons best games have been off the bench. Papa, Lane, Brown starting bsckrowers with Niukore, Matto, Kaufusi and Rodwell on the bench. Matto and Niukore could cover a lot of positions if needed

I don't think N Brown should've been re-signed last year but he was and on decent coin. He was in Origin 2 seasons ago and whilst not in career best form there is absolutely no way he shouldn't have 1 of our bench spots right now . This all adds to the booing stuff going on . BA is turning this season to absolute shite .
Of course N Brown is in the best 17 but Arthur is panicking. He knows he should have retained Papalii and he is trying to free up cash to make a bid to get him to renege
Someone on here stated BA plays his favourites. That's the only reason I can see for the bench selection. He plays those who kisses his arse and pisses off those who don't.
