  • Isn't that the website that said Carney was coming to us?

Can you copy and paste the article? All I see is ads and no writing.
  • I'll put my Melbourne cup winnings on hunt not coming. Better players who suit our style will be available.
    • Who do you think suits our style mate?
    • Never thought I would say this but Mitchell Moses and Norman in the halves would be what I would go for. His defence improved remarkably last year and his speed is tough to handle. He will want out of the basket case tigers.

Elegy, Taylor and Reynolds seem locked up. Someone might get squeezed out of the Panthers. Lolohea is another possibility but Moses is ahead of him.
    • I think Norman has an excellent long kicking game.

Who do you think we should chase slippery?
    • Chris with all the unrest at the Tigers & the dislike for Taylor, maybe Moses would think his football would improve under BA.
  • I've always been a fan of Moses, but he wouldn't be a good combination with Norman at all. Both are running type players and neither have a strong long kicking game. With Norman @ #6, the ideal #7 would be a controlling, ball player with a strong kicking game. Someone like a new, young Jason Taylor would be ideal. Someone with a football brain that can follow a simple game plan and can settle his players & kick them to victory in tight games.
    • You can balance two running halves, with a ball-playing nine. Also I think both Norman and Moses have evolved their games to be as much a seven as they are a six. Norman carried the playmaking load for Parra for two years and Moses had to do much the same last year, while Brooks was injured. I think Norman's long-kicking game is satisfactory, and again, get a half-back style nine and you can make up for that as well.

      • Yes, a ball playing 9 would help 2 running halves, but, I would still prefer a level headed player 1 of the ruck leading the side around.

I'm not saying I'm correct and your wrong, but most of the successful halves combos of the past have had 1 ball player and 1 runner.
      • well we don't have a ball playing nine and apparently the one available (seggy) is off limits.

i also don't think BA wants a ball playing 9 anyway, he's shown with foran and robson he wants a general. nathan cleary is perfect if we want to throw big $ at him.
