belief is everything

seeming as though its pretty dead at the moment i thought id create a blog on what will be our biggest asset heading into the finals, BELIEF. I know at the start of the season every team states they can win the title, but lets be honest how many of those payers actually believe it. Until they generate some confidence, in themselves and the man standing next them, IMO the players don't take full advantage of drive and enjoyment that belief creates. I make this point because IMO this team now fully believes themselves and believes in the man standing next to them. The belief that this team has generated IMO can take take them all the way to a premiership. Just like 2009, although The hayne plane was on fire 17 men stepped onto that field each week, some of which were playing way better than their ability suggested, why? because they believed. This is what im starting to see from this team especially in the forwards. Having under performed for most of the season, this pack is starting to believe that they can match it with the bigger packs, and with that belief has come a harder more determined run every time the ball is taken up. The halves now have the belief in the forwards and have the confidence to play their natural games and get our backs some good ball. While some may say i am being over optimistic, i truly believe we can make the grand final, and as ive stated from their you just never know because belief is everything.

  • I feel they are finally playing with the belief that they seemed to find after each and every kick in the guts they received last season. Its the same strong team...just with no shit house surprises happening in 2017. I was surprised by our issues early this season, but Corey Norman was a loss. Bevo was a loss. Scott. Etc. The boys are still on from last season. I'm excited. Sadly still not confident. I am a 41 year old eels fan after all.

"I'm not suggesting throwing Lorenzo or any other young player in there now, they aren't ready, my point is they still won't be ready for a start in 2027 either so are we going to sign another 1 year stop gap 6 for 2027?."

"Thanks KN/ EA. Just checking my gut feeling. Hopefully, he stays & makes good on his potential. I like his upside: footy nous, big body, kicking game, goal-kicker. Ain't many sixes offering all that. He's called by many in RU as a "Sua'ali'i clone…"

Slippery. replied to Eelawarra's discussion NRL LEGENDS EXPLAIN WHY THEY HATE BRETT KENNY

Brett Kenny is the reason I support the Eels. He was the most naturally gifted player I have ever seen. In my opinion Imortal status he is worthy of. However, what I find even more bizarre is the fact that Brett Kenny was not once named in the…"
