regardless of all the frustrating  rants  on our club's  under performing seasons I too would like to  express my frustrating opinion not only for  myself but also to  all our aging  supporters and members  who are well into their  twilight years  some  with possibly ongoing medical issues.  before  we move on there would be  no greater glory and satisfaction to be part of and witness  parramatta again winning a  premiership , to allow this to happen  soon rather than later is to bite the bullet and to replace the  current  yes , coach and to do whatever it takes  to  snare  Bennett and then let things  pan out for both  playing  stocks and  the  office,  no ifs or  buts , a overhaul , rebuild is definitely on the  cards , hopefully we unearth a couple of  speedsters  or another  Hayne  but for now  today  not tomorrow  I think  Bennett  is our  most promising outlook.  bless  parra  & bless  the  eelers  .

  • Could not of been said better christeel.....as I head to my middle 50s ...lol

  • A new coach is only a short term, or bandaid solution. The board needs to open their eyes, and the cheque book, plus put people in place with football nous, people like Gould, Ponissi etc. People have to understand, when Bennett starts with a club, he brings his own assistants, coaches, trainers etc, and I think this is why our board are reluctant to hire him. I feel sorry for BA in some respects, many say this is his team, but it is not, this is a team that the board allowed BA to have. Do you really think the board would allow Bennett an open cheque book to buy the players he could turn this team into a premiership team, I don't think so, they haven't allowed BA to do so.

    • BA got exactly what he wanted.

He wanted a forward stacked roster and that's what he got.

      • That's bullshit. BA has been wanting an 'x' factor type player for 18mths. BA wanted JAC at the start of the year, JAC wanted to come here, the board would only offer him $450k, he's on a bit more at the Dogs. We tried for Blake Wilson, same story, and there have been others. We lost Mahoney and Ice, board decisions, not BA's. I want BA gone as much as everyone else, but to say it's totally his preferred team is BS.

  • Sorry to say this christeel but the board and club couldn't give an F about the old fans. They know they are diehards no matter the results

They are only concerned about their own interests and looking good. They could care less about on field results and that's why they keep on extending the gift that keeps on giving.

Longest serving Parra coach and fast becoming one of the most despised ones.

  • Very good post Christeel.

I'm nearly 50 with failing health and am desperate to see them win one more before my time is up.

I lost my brother to cancer last year and he was one of the biggest Eels supporters I know. One of the last things he said before he passed was he hopes all Parra supporters get to see one more before they go.

I guess this is one of the main reasons I am so fed up with Parra at the moment.

    • That hits so hard BEM. Sorry for your loss mate.

Hopefully the changes that are required are made for the benefit of the fans and this club can finally deliver a premiership for the long suffering fans.

      • Cheers Frank. Means a lot mate.

    • damn  ! sad to hear about your brother  bem , the die hard  eel supporter he was .  ....  no doubt  you  keep the parra's  colours  flying.   special  moments.

      • Thanks heaps Christeel.

""What exactly would this club be risking by going after Bennett with every dollar they can spare?"
Great question NOS and the answer is pretty simple .  People have been saying for years that BA had to go so players could have some proper coaching…"
