Look at the Parramatta team and name a single player that would make the Melbourne team in their current position?
Show me the year where Wayne Bennet won the comp without a team of superstars. At Newcastle he was a complete failure because he had an ordinary team.
With the team we have really we are doing well to just to make the top 4. The team is really a bunch of leftovers from other clubs and we do not have the best player in a single position.
See the difference a single superstar like Tom T at Manly can make to a team.
Unless we work out how to legally rig the salary cap or patiently work with our juniors like Penrith then we will continue to fail.
We must when we get an opportunity give our juniors a run so for crying out loud stop bagging the coach when he gives the young juniors some experience.

You're missing the point. Go and watch what Sterlo said.
It's purely about the competency of our players. Our edge defence is so clearly and obviously flawed and that's down to the Coach. He totally deserves the criticism.
As to who would make the Storm side. Plenty would. So what?
A better question is would Bellamy win a comp with our roster?
You can only play what is before you and the past two games have highlighted that we have issues and the opposition are now exploiting them.
But it is not the last two weeks. That is the problem. We have had this issue for the last two years. Anyone with half a clue has seen it. It has been spoken about so many times. Losing Jenkins has just shown it up even more. The issue is BOTH. The defensive coach is clueless and sadly, so are a couple of the players. TBH, I cannot believe oppostion teams have taken this long to work it out. Blind freddy can see it.
Neither you or I can honestly answer that as we don't know what is being coached. However, right there is the issue. If it is being coached and the players involved continue to fail and do the wrong thing, they need to face consequences like being dropped. If that is the case, it is not happening and B.A is weak and will not make the hard calls. If the players are doing what they are coached to do, then Kidwell and B.A need to wake up and/or be held accountable by the Club. That is Mark O'neills job. Either way, there is a significant issue here that the Club Heirarchy needs to investigate and address or we are royally screwed.
Is Blake not a part of that defensive system i think Blake and Fergo both make bad calls.
On the weekend our middle also got shown up. I think right now the coaching staff and the team have a few problems to sort out, starting with MM,
The answer to this is simple and clear no he would not and you would be kidding yourself if you though so. This team has no stars and is more a good team and definitely not a team of champions. Bellamy would need to bring 1/2 his team with him. Parramatta current team word hard and are a good team but not even close to a champion team. Tell me the first grade player that came to Parramatta this year? To attract players we have paid over the amount they would be played by the top clubs and look at the amount of money the young reserves at say Roosters are getting paid???? This would be similar at Melbourne so the next generation of superstar players are also already wrapped up and not counted in salary cap.
Name me one superstar that Melbourne signed? They were nobodies before he took them under his wings.
None - he developed them all just as he would here at Parra....
I'm yet to have someone convince me Melbourne doesn't have a factory down there where they recruit a player, stick them in the factory and have a complete replica made of them but they're actually a programmed T-800.
If there is one thing Bellamy is amazing at, it's having a defensive system built that can handle just about anyone being plugged into it. Then off the back of that, he provides a simple attacking blueprint and allows for guys like Papenhuyzen, Munster and Grant to do their thing. He just adapts. Melbourne don't actually have the strangling ability they used to under Cronk and Smith because they don't have Cronk and Smith, but they're actually a more threatening attacking side now.
Before they'd kick you to death. Now, while they can still control a game, they can also play a 20 minute period where they score five tries and kill the game.
It took Bellamy 4 years to win a premiership and did so by rorting the salary cap. Look at the team he walked into. The players where the most naturally gifted players of all times. They are a one city team but also have 1/2 of qld to pick from. His first team was a gift. Melbourne where never punished properly for the rort and only lost a single player. So if you want to win a premiership in 4 years time pick Bellamy but it will not be with th current players so we would start from scratch or do like Bennett and bring the players with him.
Salary cap or not, he didn't purchase legends. Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk, Billy Slater, Greg Inglis were all developed by Melbourne. Cameron was brought down from Norths, Cooper was found playing union, Billy came down from Innisfail on a train and trial, they grabbed Inglis out of high school.
The production line they have now is a credit to their system. Bellamy took Munster from a fullback to a 5/8, he took Hughes from fullback and turned him into a halfback. Cooper Cronk left and they made a grand final then won a premiership. Cameron Smith has retired and they've produced both the Kiwi hooker and QLD hooker to fill his shoes.
They've recruited Reimis Smith from the Bulldogs. They got Brenko Lee and turned him into an Origin player. Almost every single one of the players they recruit from another team improve.
