Bears 1998 vs Manly 2014

Tonight's win will go down as a famous victory for our club. It was breathtaking! As full time neared the memories of our other famous victory over the Bears in the 1998 finals swarmed into my mind. The manner in which we won both of these games is strikingly similar. We belted our way to victory tonight and I have to say it is right up there with that win over the Bears (which is one of my all time favourite Eels wins). Which one was better? Tonight's win over arch rivals Manly or that brilliant finals win over the Bears?

      Are you referring to our subsequent collapse to the Bulldogs in the 1998 prelim? If the Eels are truly to be considered finals contenders then we must beat Newcastle next week. We can't clock off.

    I'm just wondering if this win will kick start a winning streak like in 2009 or even take Parra to a GF next year. This game will either be just a great win or the start of something great.

    Earlier this week there was a blog about your top five eels matches. I put that bears final at #2. You are right...the most aggressive 40 mins we have played since that night
