1Eyed Eel has been told by multiple sources that Parramatta met with Barrett’s manager Wayne Beavis late last week and one of those has since informed us that they believe an agreement has been reached.
I won’t declare this as done until I’ve got a second source to confirm that a deal has been agreed upon, but the club is definitely talking to Barrett and the source who is adamant a deal has been done has not provided me with incorrect information yet. I’ve got some calls in, so I’ll post more as anything else comes through.
What you can bank on is that the Eels will go into next year with an experienced half on the roster. I’ve also been told that we have had very serious discussions with Brett Kimmorley and Paul Osborne has publicly stated that the club has expressed interest in Kimmorley and Matt Orford.
