Looking through our season it seems we have a terrible record of backing up a good victory at home with a win away
Round 4 beat Sharks by 12 ANZ
Round 5 lost by 19 to Raiders away
Round 6 beat Tigers by 45
Round 7 Lost by 14 to Knights away
Round 8 beat Dragons by 14 Bankwest
Round 9 Lost to Storm by 54 in mmagic round in Brisbane
Round 12 beat Souths by 12 Bankwest
Round 13 Lost by 20 to Sharks away
Round 14 Beat Broncos by 28 Bankwest
Round 15 Beat Raiders by 6 at Darwin (Technically a home game but only time we've travelled after a big home win and won)
Round 17 Beat Tigers by 12 at Bankwest (Tigers home game but in reality its a home ground advantage to us)
Round 18 Lost to Manly by 12 away
Round 19 Beat Warriors by 2 Bankwest
Round 20 Beat Dragons by 8 away
Round 21 beat Knights by 6 Bankwest
Round 22 beat Titans by24 away
Very alarming stats leading into this week that we simply cannot back up a good home win with an away performance. The only 2 away wins backing up from a home win we have had, have been against the bottom 2 sides, hardly anything to get too confident with.
How do we turn this around this week and get up for this away game against the benchmark team in the competition? We are no doubt peaking at the right time but do we have the side to mentally toughness to back up a brilliant home performance with a grinding away win. I really hope so but statistics would suggest otherwise

Wtf ! Why the negativity , think positive man ! .... and stuff the stats .
Fuck the stats. Fuck em. Like Kram and dogs. Or dogs and Kram on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Nicky - you've mentioned me in your last 4 posts. Please remove your hand from your (tiny) genitals and stop obsessing over me. I'm starting to feel a bit uncomfortable :)
Sunday was a walk in the park for Parra. Brisbane were woeful and probably would have lost to most teams, but Parra did everything right. Previous big victories this season saw some sloppy play in parts but this was non-existant last weekend.
I'm confident that BA will take away the positives from Sunday's game to get the players to believe they can beat Melbourne, however they do need to realise they need to lift again this weekend. I feel the team is in a good mental space, which goes a long way to success.
I'm not so worried that the players believe they can beat Melbourne, I'm sure they do believe they can win the premiership. The problem I have is that we don't go in with the same intensity after a big home win and the season results I have posted will suggest this. Brad Arthur has a big job to get us mentally up for this game after such an easy win last week. Moses showed last week that he can single handedly lift us to greatness but can he consistently deliver this? If he can the long wait could be over.
Lets go Eels, we've all waited long enough
Fishy old son - one of the most concerning factors is so many other teams have also not turned up the following week after a massive win.
That said if the team go into this game KNOWING it is all on the lione and the smallest mistakes will be punished there is no reason why they can't go on with it.
Hit hard, hit early and unsettle the Storm, they have proven many times before when teams get into them early, they will get frustrated and start making silly mistakes.
NO team is unbeatable - even the Storm robots.
Our team simply need to want this so bad it gives them heartburn.
